Objective of Benazir Kafalat Program

The Benazir Kafalat Program is a welfare scheme by the Government of Pakistan under which financial assistance is provided to deserving and low-income families. The program aims to reduce poverty, economically empower women, and enable access to basic amenities of life.

List of Districts Included in Phase 1

The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has released the list of districts selected for payment under Phase 1. Financial assistance is being provided to deserving families in these districts under the Benazir Kafalat Program.

How to get the payment?

1. Check Benazir Kafalat Eligibility

If you want to benefit from this program, first check your eligibility. For this, you can use the following methods:

Send CNIC to 8171: Send your National Identity Card Number (CNIC) to 8171 from your mobile phone and verify your eligibility.

Use the 8171 web portal: 8171.bisp.gov.pk to check your eligibility using your CNIC number.

2. Visit the nearest payment center

If you are eligible, visit the nearest Benazir Kafalat payment center or bank to receive your assistance. Be sure to carry the following items with you:

Original CNIC

Registered mobile number
Thumbprint for biometric verification

3. Receive payment from bank or HBL ATM

If your name is on the 8171 list, you can receive your assistance from HBL Konnect or any authorized bank ATM.
Possible reasons for payment delay
Sometimes, beneficiaries may face difficulties in making payments. Some of the common reasons for this are as follows:
Expiration of ID card – If your CNIC has expired, first get it renewed from NADRA.
Providing wrong information – If wrong information is given during registration, then get it corrected again.
Problem in biometric verification – If your fingerprints are not clear, then visit BISP office and get it verified.
